SNIC 2022 SPEAKERS

Innovation Delivered/Innovation Pipeline

We have titled this year’s SNIC Innovations in Digitalisation and Decarbonisation.

Mr. Yngve Slyngstad, CEO of Aker Asset Management, and Mr. Chris Ong, CEO of Keppel Offshore & Marine and MD of Keppel Renewable Energy, will paint the big picture on the global green industry/investment trends, energy transition in Singapore, and industry links to Norway. This will set the scene for the following parts of the conference: Innovation Delivered and Innovation Pipeline related to decarbonisation (please also refer to the attached drafted program).

Global Center for Maritime Decarbonisation and its high-profile CEO, Ms. Lynn Loo, is confirmed as a keynote speaker, panelist, and juror for the SNIC Innovation awards.

We will organise the conference into two main segments.

The first, Innovation Delivered, demonstrates solutions and technologies that have been successfully delivered and significantly impacted the industry.

Shipowner Laurence Odfjell and VP Technology at Odfjell Management AS Erik Hjortland will share the role of innovation and energy efficiency in their transition to zero-emission shipping.

The second, Innovation Pipeline, showcases essential solutions still in development, including developments in alternative fuels and decarbonisation technologies.

In addition, we will organise roundtable discussions based on related themes. Here we will facilitate a deeper dive into various topics of interest and facilitate the exchange of ideas.

Great networking opportunities

SNIC 2022 will be a physical event with ample networking opportunities at our five-star Conrad Centennial Singapore venue. The hotel is a jewel in the heart of Marina Bay with stunning meeting venues as well as guest rooms and suites boasting unparalleled views of the marina and the city,

The event will bring together Singapore and Norway business and thought leaders, decision-makers, government agencies, regulators, and commercial solution providers. We will also stream the conference to make it available in Norway and the rest of the world.

This year’s edition of SNIC will also feature the inaugural SNIC Innovation Awards. The award will recognise the best decarbonisation technology providers and adopters from Singapore and Norway.
