SINGAPORE–NORWAY
INNOVATION CONFERENCE 2026


Singapore-Norway Innovation Conference (SNIC) is an annual flagship business conference organised by the Norwegian Business Association Singapore (NBAS), together with the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Innovation Norway and key partners. 

Norway and Singapore share deep ties across the maritime and energy sectors. More than 300 Norwegian companies operate in Singapore, while Singaporean companies collaborate closely with Norway’s industrial, maritime, and technology environments. SNIC reflects this long-standing partnership and aims to strengthen future collaboration across business, technology, and innovation.

Building on six years of SNIC, the 2026 edition goes further – exploring how ocean industries are evolving from seabed to space, and what it takes to lead in a more fragmented and contested world.

FOCUS OF SNIC 2026

FROM SEABED TO SPACE:
GOVERNING TOMORROW’S OCEANS

Maritime is no longer just shipping. It is part of a broader ocean system spanning seabed infrastructure, surface operations, and space-enabled technologies.

New technologies, decarbonisation ambitions, evolving trade patterns, and energy security priorities are reshaping maritime and energy industries. At the same time, advances in connectivity, cyber security, AI, and autonomy are creating new opportunities across the value chain.

The key question that SNIC 2026 aims to address is not only what to innovate, but how to innovate across interconnected systems. Specifically, the program aims to explore and demonstrate:

  • —How space-based technologies and connectivity are enabling closer integration between seabed, surface, and maritime operations
  • —How industry leaders are applying these capabilities across vessels, ports, and critical infrastructure
  • —How data, AI, and autonomy are transforming operations and decision-making

The program will also address strategic and cross-sectoral challenges such as the impact of geopolitical developments, energy transition and security, supply chain resilience, financing, future skills, and talent.
