Snic 2021 Day One Speakers

Update 25 Sep: Despite new SMMs from 27 Sep, there are no changes in SMMs for MICE event pilots. Hence, we host SNIC day one at Suntec as planned. Welcome!We have gathered a number of industry leaders and relevant stakeholders from Norway and South-East Asia.

#SNIC2021 will gather the top industry leaders at the forefront of the green, smart shift from Norway and South-East Asia. It is clear that tackling the challenges of tomorrow requires joint efforts now across sectors such as energy, the circular economy and digital technologies.

Sharanjit Leyl will be moderating the event. She has worked as a Senior Broadcast journalist for BBC since 2003, and she regularly anchors Asia Business Report and Newsday from the Singapore studio. She has previously moderated events with Justin Trudeau, Ban Ki Moon, Jacina Ardern and more.

Chee Hong Tat is Senior Minister of State at the Singapore Ministry of Transport, and Deputy Secretary General of the National Trades Union Congress.  He had also served at other Ministries including Health, Communications and Information, Trade and Industry, Education, and Foreign Affairs.  Before entering politics in 2015, he was Second Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Chief Executive of the Energy Market Authority.

Lesley Tan, Specialist Counsel, Wikborg Reign

Lesley Tan is a Specialist Counsel at Wikborg Rein’s Singapore office and is part of the firm’s Projects Singapore practice. She began her career with Wikborg Rein in the Singapore office in 2007, but she has also worked for the London office. Lesley specialises in project and asset finance, primarily for shipping and offshore clients.
