We are excited to announce that the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) will once again be partnering with the Singapore-Norway Innovation Conference (SNIC) as a key supporter. This partnership underscores SNIC’s credibility and its vital role in fostering new business opportunities in the maritime sector.
Established in 2004, SMF acts as a conduit between the public and private sectors, enhancing Singapore’s position as an International Maritime Centre (IMC) and developing a maritime-ready talent pool. Their ongoing support highlights the conference’s significance in driving innovation and growth in the industry.
SNIC 2024: Smarter Ships, Smarter Ports
This year’s conference, SNIC 2024 – Smarter Ships, Smarter Ports, is dedicated to exploring technological innovations, financial strategies, and safety enhancements that are shaping the future of maritime operations. Backed by two of the world’s leading maritime nations, SNIC aims to create substantial business opportunities through collaboration.
“The Singapore-Norway Innovation Conference (SNIC), now in its fifth edition, is testament to the strong cooperation between both countries, rooted in our maritime heritage and zest for innovation,” says Beng Tee, Executive Director of SMF.
As the maritime industry rapidly transitions towards a digital and decarbonized future, SNIC provides a crucial platform for industry stakeholders to assess current positions and identify areas for improvement. “The SNIC offers a useful platform for the industry to gather, review positions, and identify the gaps we need to bridge,” Beng Tee adds.
With a focus on cross-industrial learning, SNIC 2024 will bring together shipowners, offshore operators, port and terminal operators, investors, government agencies, and business leaders from Singapore, Norway, and ASEAN.
