Ine Jacobsen, Ronny Waage and Erling Hesselberg was elected to the NBAS-board at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 31 March.

NBAS’ President Leonard Stornes is grateful for the three newcomers taking on the task.

Contribute to the network
Ine Jacobsen is associate at the Singapore based venture capital firm, Cocoon Capital.

‘Working in venture capital with early-stage start-ups in Southeast Asia, I can offer a different perspective on business in Singapore and the rest of the region’, says Ine.

Ine greatly appreciated the networking offered at the NBAS events when she first moved to Singapore. ‘I am excited to contribute actively moving forward’, she says.

Supporting expansion to the region
Erling Hesselberg is Vice President at Crayon, a Norwegian IT company with operations in 35 countries. He is looking forward to providing insights for companies with ambitions to expand further into Asia.

‘My ambition is to contribute in supporting new expansion and startups to the region via the important role of NBAS and Innovation Norway. As a regional and global resource for Crayon Group, I´ll be working in many of the APAC countries, and thereby hopefully be able to provide some insights for further expansion in Asia’ states Erling.

Strengthen bonds between Singapore and Norway
The third new board member is seasoned business executive Ronny Waage, Managing Partner in Heron Advisory, a Singapore headquartered consultancy in the ocean technology space.

Ronny looks forward to helping to strengthen the collaboration and existing bonds between Norway and Singapore, both for traditional industries as well as for start-ups and technology providers.

‘I do hope and believe that with my experience from both the traditional maritime industry and from the start-up and industry transformation space, I can add value to the board and the NBAS membership over the next two years.’, states Ronny.

Thanks to Tom and Håkon
Tom Zachariassen from Nordea and Håkon Bruaset Kjøl from Telenor have stepped down from the board.
