Enhanced maritime collaboration between Norway and Singapore during Nor-Shipping in Oslo 6-9 June! The Minister of Fisheries, Bjørnar Skjæran, and the Senior Minister of State in the Ministry of Transport in Singapore, Chee Hong Tat, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), strengthening the collaboration between Norway and Singapore. The agreement outlines the intention of the parties to develop an efficient, safe, secure, and sustainable maritime industry.
SNIC 2023 – Innovate to Zero is the first major meeting point for politicians and industry actors from both nations since the signing of the agreement. The conference seeks to answer four key questions:
- What are the timelines for securing sufficient clean energy for the maritime and offshore sectors?
- Can carbon capture be part of the solution for a greener maritime and offshore industry?
- How can we promote and harness the digital infrastructure for increased efficiency and reduced emissions?
- What are the innovative ways to finance the green transition?
