Minister Huitfeldt also took the time to visit the Norwegian Seamen’s Mission in Singapore, where she had the opportunity to interact with the church’s Saturday guests, enjoying porridge, waffles, and social networking. Furthermore, in a meeting organized by NBAS, headed by President Leonard Stornes, she met with a group of Norwegian business actors operating in Singapore. Companies like Telenor, Kongsberg, DNV, Equinor, Wilhelmsen, and Antler were among those that shared insights about their operations.

Here the Minister thanked the business community for all they are doing to grow our commercial cooperation and the Seamen’s mission for being a pillar for the Norwegian community in Singapore.

The atmosphere during the meeting was informal, providing the foreign minister with valuable insights into the experiences of doing business in Singapore and the wider region and how the Norwegian government can best support the Norwegian business community in Singapore in its endeavors.
