EuroCham partner for SNIC 2022: ‘Helps implement decarbonisation pathways and create business opportunities’

Snic 2022 Eurocham Confirmed Partner

Singapore and Norway are leading the way in this call to action for maritime decarbonisation. Accordingly, NBAS, The Norwegian Embassy in Singapore, and Innovation Norway will jointly host Singapore Norway Innovation Conference 2022 at hotel Conrad Centennial in Singapore on 18 November 2022.

The European Chamber of Commerce confirms they are a partner for SNIC 2022.

Nele Cornelis

Executive Director in Eurocham, Ms. Nele Cornelis, says SNIC 2022 will help the industry implement decarbonisation pathways and create new business opportunities:

‘Decarbonising shipping is an urgent climate action priority. It requires the collective efforts of the entire maritime sector. I am confident that initiatives like SNIC will help shipping companies, port operators, energy companies, engine manufacturers, shipyards, insurance, and financial players navigate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, implement decarbonisation pathways, and create new business opportunities. Through these platforms, stakeholders from Singapore, Europe, and other regions globally share knowledge and ideas to bring forth innovative solutions. These will allow concrete actions and make international shipping more sustainable and global supply chains more resilient, ‘states Ms. Cornelis.

Great European maritime nations

NBAS-president Leonard Stornes warmly welcomes EuroCham as a partner for SNIC 2022.

‘Decarbonisation is a pressing global task that concerns us all. There are many great maritime nations and industries across Europe with strong presence in Singapore. Greece, Germany, Netherland, Denmark, Italy, and Spain, to mention some. We are convinced that they will benefit from and contribute to the conference. Hence, we are happy to welcome all EuroCham’s members to SNIC 2022’ says Stornes.
