Board nomination 2025: Leadership renewal and new competence

UPDATE

At the AGM held on 20 March 2025, all nominated board members were duly confirmed.

We are pleased to introduce the NBAS Board for 2025/26—a strong mix of diverse, competent leaders representing various sectors of the business community, adding valuable expertise to NBAS.

The election committee of 2025 has submitted its recommendations in preparation for NBAS Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to take place at Huone on March 20.

President Leonard Stornes and Treasurer Torgeir Willumsen is continuing for another year, signifying continuity and steady leadership at the helm of NBAS.

Joining the board are new faces bringing strong expertise from both the maritime sector and communication technologies, signaling a fresh and multidisciplinary approach to the association’s future endeavors.

Among the nominees are:

Wenche Andersen, Country Manager and Managing Director, Kongsberg Maritime & Kongsberg Discovery, Singapore. Wenche leads a pivotal company for maritime technology solutions and boasts a rich international background, including significant experience from the Asia region.

Bob Brandal, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific at Nordic Semiconductor ASA. Bob is recognized for his industry experience in Asia and brings additional experience from his previous board roles at the commercial chamber in Hong Kong and EuroCham. You may learn more about him here.

Manisha Dogra, SVP, Head of External Relations & Sustainability, Telenor Asia. Manisha is recognized as a corporate affairs and sustainability leader with extensive strategic and operational experience in Asia and Norway, and a long-standing partner for NBAS.

Thor Winther, Senior Vice President/Head of Group Legal Region Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific, DNV. Thor represents DNV, a flagship Norwegian maritime company in Singapore, and brings a decade of experience from various board positions in maritime companies and associations.

Ina Lutchmiah, Managing Director of Wikborg Rein’s Singapore office. Ina brings profound expertise from shipping and offshore energy transactions and has extensive experience from Singapore, having also collaborated with NBAS on several occasions.

Claes Eek Thorstensen, Director, Skagerak Holding Pte Ltd. Claes represents a Singapore based asset management company with strong ties to both Norway and Singapore. He brings decades of experience, and is also a long-standing partner for NBAS.

The nominated candidates are all highly motivated to contribute to the Norwegian business community over the next two years, bringing their unique perspectives and expertise to the table.
