Team Norway recently had the pleasure of hosting NOR at our office, where we learned about their significant investment in the Asian market through the acquisition of Clockwise Subsea, which operates in Singapore, Malaysia, and India.
The strategic acquisition is combining Asia and the North Sea expertise and resources to deliver enhanced subsea solutions for the global offshore industry. This acquisition aims to create a stronger, more competitive entity poised to meet the evolving demands of the market.
Sharing best practices
Clockwise Subsea currently operates offices in Singapore, Malaysia and India, providing specialized subsea solutions to clients across the region. With this acquisition, NOR will be striving for further growth to allow the servicing of a larger and more diverse clientele as well as to better serve existing clients.
“As part of this strategic move, NOR will be making a significant investment in Survey and Robotics in the region to enhance the group’s rental pool and service offerings. This acquisition not only increases product and service offerings but also improves response times and enhances the expertise of both teams by sharing best practices”, says CEO Tore Gautesen.

The acquisition will enable NOR to expand its customer base and better serve its existing clients with a strong presence across the APAC region.
