As the maritime industry adapts to a rapidly evolving global landscape, the pressure to deliver greater transparency, meet tightening regulatory requirements, and operate within increasingly narrow margins is intensifying. The question is no longer “can AI help?”, it is “where do we start?”.
At SNIC 2025, we are proud to welcome Kristin Omholt-Jensen, founder and CEO of Maritime Optima, as an Innovation Spotlight speaker. Kristin will share her insights on how data-driven decision making is not only transforming operations onboard vessels but also revolutionizing the way commercial strategies are shaped in maritime offices.
From Fragmented Data to Maritime Intelligence
While much of the industry’s digital focus has traditionally been onboard systems, Kristin will shift the lens to shore-based decision-making processes and the improvement of ship-to-shore communication. She will demonstrate how fragmented data, when structured and contextualized, can be converted into maritime intelligence.
Kristin will highlight how this intelligence becomes a powerful tool enabling smarter commercial choices, offering actionable guidance, supporting decarbonization, navigating volatile market conditions, and optimizing time-sensitive operations. With this approach, maritime professionals can make informed decisions faster, with greater precision and confidence, ultimately enhancing fleet performance and commercial outcomes.
