Born and raised in Singapura (y. 1994), Lis Tamara is one of 2020’s graduates, graduating from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, with a diploma in Fine Art (Oil & Chinese Ink Painting).
Embracing her sentience and vulnerability, her paintings are heavily influenced by prominent emotions and are created along her current state of mind. This allows a parallel development in both her art and character.
Indulgent in sentimentality, her works centre around her relationships; with people, food, spaces and even herself.
Taking a humanistic approach in her practice, she draws inspiration from growth, heartbreak, grief, milestones, love and happiness.
