OUR SPONSORS FOR THIS EVENT
NBAS, The Norwegian Embassy, Maritime Port Authority Singapore, DNVGL, Kongsberg Maritime and Pareto Securities will address decarbonization in a special insights panel Decarbonize – stay profitable, broadcasted from Hong Bao Studios 19 November.
Shipping’s main challenge over the current decade is to prepare for and start on a decarbonization pathway. Alternative carbon-neutral fuels are essential for achieving the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction goals in 2050. Also, carbon-neutral fuels are the only practical way for shipping to achieve the ultimate vision of full decarbonization, as soon as possible before 2100.
- What is Singapore’s policy and regulations on decarbonization, and how does Singapore support the maritime business in becoming carbon-neutral?
- What kind of integration of technologies, fuels and operational processes within vessel and the industry as a whole are needed to meet the decarbonization vision?
- What is the role of respectively banks, investors and end consumers in reaching the decarbonization goals?
- How can companies within the maritime industry meet the decarbonization demands of the future, and still be able to run profitable businesses?
We will explore these and other hot topics within decarbonization in our special insights panel at Hong Bao Media studio 19 November from 3-4 pm.
Our Gold sponsor for the event DNVGL, will introduce the Maritime Forecast 2050. Also, they will share their view to help shipowners to enhance their ability to navigate technological, regulatory and market uncertainty due to decarbonization – thus maintaining competitiveness, profitability and value over time.
This event is hosted and sponsored in collaboration with the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore and DNV GL.
