The nomination committee has submitted its recommendations in preparation for the NBAS Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to take place at NTUC Centre, Level 8, Room 801, on 24 March 2026.

President Leonard Stornes and board member Steve Mellbye-Stølen are proposed for re-election for another two-year term, ensuring continuity and experienced leadership within the NBAS board.

In addition, the nomination committee proposes four new board members representing key sectors within the Norwegian business community in Singapore, including maritime, shipping, technology and finance.

Among the nominees are:

Martin Vollan, Head of Asia Pacific at DNB. Martin leads DNB’s operations across Asia Pacific from Singapore and represents Norway’s largest bank. He brings extensive experience from banking, technology and digital transformation, having previously held several executive roles at DNB.

Roine Ahlquist, Chief Commercial Officer at Wilhelmsen Ship Management, part of the Wilhelmsen Group. Roine brings more than 25 years of experience from the international shipping industry and has held senior leadership roles across Asia, Europe and the United States.

Lim Sim Keat (SK), Managing Director (Pacific) at G2 Ocean Singapore. SK Lim leads the Pacific hub of G2 Ocean, the world’s largest open hatch shipping operator and a joint venture between Gearbulk and Grieg Maritime Group. He brings more than 35 years of experience from the global shipping and maritime industry.

Jon Løken, Sales Director at CFARER. Jon has built his career in Asia-Pacific working at the intersection of maritime, technology and the energy transition, with experience in scaling digital solutions and supporting maritime decarbonisation and regulatory compliance.

All nominees have expressed strong motivation to contribute to the Norwegian business community in Singapore and to support the continued development of NBAS over the coming two-year term.

If you have not yet registered for the NBAS AGM, we encourage you to do so. In addition to the formal AGM for members, the event will include a business lunch and a timely business briefing with expert insights to how recent geopolitical developments are shaping business risk and decisions in Singapore and the region.
