Featured Artist: Kelly Ser

NBAS is collaborating with upcoming artists in Singapore and Norway to highlight their work, while we get a creative take on our graphic profile. We are thrilled to feature Singaporean artist, Kelly Ser and look forward to showcasing her incredible talent to our network. Join us in celebrating her artistic journey and the beautiful Singapore heritage she so brilliantly captures in her signature collection, “Not Just a Little Red Dot”.

Kelly Ser, a gifted Singaporean artist, made a bold leap from a successful career as a government scholar and civil servant, which spanned over a decade, to full-time artistry in 2021. Her art is a reflection of her Singaporean identity and life experiences, reimagining traditional architecture, symbols, and landmarks into modern masterpieces.

One of Kelly’s main objective as an artist is to use art to promote the history, culture and heritage of Singapore to the world. Being a part of this project allows Kelly to share historical fun facts of Singapore with a European audience, and to pique their interest to perhaps also make a trip to visit Singapore one day.

Kelly’s bold use of vibrant hues, tactile textures, and subtle historical elements makes her works truly distinctive and memorable. Her art has been exhibited in Singapore, collected globally, and featured in prominent media outlets like CNA, The Straits Times, and Ch8 News.

“Not Just a Little Red Dot” is Kelly’s iconic signature collection, showcasing her kaleidoscopic style inspired by Singapore. This collection is a testament to her unique talent and artistic vision.

Kelly aims to make art more accessible by extending her creations beyond the canvas. She incorporates her designs into everyday items like grocery bags, notebooks, and apparel, emphasizing sustainability with eco-friendly products.
