The Path to the Boardroom: How Today’s Boards Think, Choose and Lead

NBAS members are warmly invited to join an engaging and candid conversation on corporate governance, board composition, and the path to the boardroom.

This event is organized by the PrimeTime Business and Professional Women’s Association (PrimeTime)  and BoardAgender, a SCWO initiative, in partnership with Future Boards, The American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (AmChamSG), Norwegian Business Association Singapore (NBAS) and Singapore Institute of Directors (SID).

The session will feature a keynote presentation by Turid Solvang, a leading corporate governance expert from Norway and a global pioneer in gender diversity at the board level. While drawing on Ms. Solvang’s deep Nordic insights, attendees will also gain local and international perspectives from an esteemed panel of corporate leaders.

The event will demystify how modern boards function, how dynamics differ across listed companies, private enterprises and non-profit organisations, and what trends are shaping director selection today. It will offer practical insights into board composition, influence, accountability and the evolving issues occupying board agendas — from strategy oversight to risk, ESG and succession planning.

The evening is designed for female mid-career executives, aspiring non-executive directors, and current directors seeking their next board roles. Male allies on this topic are welcome to join.
