THE THREE AWARD CATEGORIES:
Most Innovative Maritime Technology Award
This award recognizes exemplary innovation in maritime technology. It commends the company whose solution has achieved commercial readiness and is implementable (Technology Readiness Level 8 or higher), and has demonstrated its capacity to revolutionize the industry by enhancing efficiency, promoting sustainability, enabling decarbonization, and minimizing waste.
Most Promising Maritime Technology AwardÂ
This award acknowledges pioneering maritime technologies at the pilot stage (TRL 5–7), which are currently not commercially available but exhibit substantial potential for future deployment. It aims to honor start-ups and companies developing solutions that can enhance efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization within the industry.
Best Adopter of Technology Award
This award recognizes a company that utilizes technology to enhance efficiency, promote sustainability, and facilitate decarbonization. The jury will particularly focus on prominent participants, including shipowners and managers, who are establishing benchmarks by implementing sustainable technologies that generate tangible environmental benefits and decrease carbon emissions.
ELIGIBILITY:
Nominations may be submitted by organizations on their own behalf or by affiliated organizations. Nominees must represent either a Singaporean or Norwegian company.
- Companies in the maritime technology, maritime, offshore, or energy sectors​
- Singapore-based companies​ with strong links to Norway
- Norwegian companies with established business connections to Singapore
Selection Process:
Based on the nominations received, up to two finalists will be selected in each category, one winner and one runner-up.Â
The shortlisting will be determined by the jury’s evaluation and recommendations, as well as the strength of the justifications and supporting statements included in the nominations. The shortlisted finalists will be notified by 27 October 2025 and invited to attend SNIC to receive their awards. If a finalist is unavailable or declines the invitation, the runner-up will be invited to take their place.
