INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, with 194-member countries.
Their role is to enable police around the world to work together to make the world a safer place.
Today’s security challenges for INTERPOL requires an innovative, collaborative approach, reaching well beyond the traditional, ‘reactive’ law enforcement model. INTERPOL and their member countries are working to ensure the world’s police forces benefit from the latest innovation to detect, prevent and investigate various types of crime.
INTERPOL’s Innovation Centre in Singapore brings together experts from a wide range of public, private and academic backgrounds to research, develop and implement contemporary solutions to challenges in policing. It’s about identifying and sharing the best of what INTERPOL’s global network has to offer and making it available to the world’s police.
Join us for your chance to take a look into the international world of policing with Mr Steffen Ousdal, Head of the Adaptive Policing Lab at INTERPOL’s Innovation Centre Directorate. Steffen is a Deputy Chief of Police from the Norwegian National Police Directorate and has been employed by the police force for 22 years. He has experience within the areas of organized crime and The National Security Service. Since 2013, he has been responsible for establishing a national crisis response centre in Norway. Steffen has an extensive background as a police officer and a holds a master’s degree in risk and safety management from the University of Stavanger in Norway.
During the presentation, Steffen will provide us with an overview of the Innovation Centre and how INTERPOL is trying to emerge as the leading entity that law enforcement agencies around the world seek to engage with to complement their strategic planning and technical innovation.
We look forward to seeing you at this event to learn more about the INTERPOL and their Innovation Centre in Singapore.
